Itinerary

Your adventure begins in the evening with a hotel pickup in Cusco before traveling through the southern Andes to the peaceful village of Sangarará. Upon arrival, the camping area will be prepared, allowing you to settle into your tent while surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery and one of the clearest night skies in Peru.

As darkness falls, you’ll take part in a memorable cultural ceremony accompanied by traditional Andean music before looking through a professional telescope to admire the Milky Way, brilliant stars, and ancient Inca constellations. This magical night offers an unforgettable connection with both nature and the Andean sky.

After breakfast, you’ll begin a scenic two-hour hike toward the impressive Waqrapukara Fortress, an archaeological masterpiece dramatically perched above deep canyons and surrounded by stunning Andean landscapes. Every step offers breathtaking panoramic views and an authentic connection with nature.

During the guided visit, you’ll discover the Intipunku (Sun Gate), the Temple of the Sun and Moon, the Temple of Wiracocha, ceremonial towers, the main plaza, and ancient agricultural terraces. After exploring this remarkable site, you’ll hike back to Sangarará before returning comfortably to Cusco, bringing an unforgettable adventure to a close.
